Couple of things

- So Rep. John Linder is canceling town halls largely because lots of folks who agree with him are showing up?

- Awesome! Back during my days at the Athens Banner-Herald, I helped convince Melissa Hanna to leave her hometown and its comfortable job for one that, arguably, was more of a lateral move for her. Now, roughly five years later and thanks to her hard work and determination, it's paid off big time for her. I thought the ABH would be very hard-pressed to replace Jason Winders, but putting someone capable, energtic and talented like Hanna in the executive editor spot is a fantastic move. If there's anyone who can guide the newspaper through the difficult times ahead, it's someone like her who gets how the evolving media landscape can make the more traditional outlets more viable. Congrats to her and well done to the ABH.

- Blake talks SPLOST and attempts to explain how it works to, apparently, a whole lot of folks who don't.

- What. Is. The. Point? I mean, wow ... this reads more like a rant about TV shows you don't like rather than an educated criticism of the awards process. Did I click on the wrong site? Did I stumble onto a Perez Hilton rant?

- Grift talks about Roy Barnes's ideas for water and transportation ... which ought to be cue for David Poythress to put out another amatuerish email blasting Barnes.
