Lee Becker interviewed Oconee County Commission Chairman Melvin Davis regarding the proposed changes to the county's governmental structure, and there's lots of interesting tidbits in it.
Davis told Becker he favored tabling the proposed ordinance so a more comprehensive study can be done on what type of government would work best.
He also said he favored the creation of districts in Oconee County where each commissioner would represent a particular area rather than be elected at-large (something I strongly favor).
