Couple of things

- Oconee County held its first reading on the proposed restructuring of the local government, and Lee Becker summarized the public comments.

- This is a cool story. One of the weird things about it is that it forces you to view the community from a different perspective. For instance, I'm the chair of our Missions Committee at church, and we get updates on what our youth and college groups are doing, where they're going to serve, etc. And they're always far-off places - impoverished rural areas or massive Northern urban centers - where there's an obvious need for assistance. And here we have students from all over the country coming to help out people in our area. It's humbling, from a service perspective, and somewhat embarassing from a community standpoint.

- This made me laugh.

- John Oxendine returned some controversial campaign money and, given that he (and Karen Handel) were dramatically outraised by Rep. Nathan Deal, one has to wonder how that's going to shake things up on the GOP side of things.
