Couple of things

- All that fuss a few years back was kind of a waste, wasn't it? The real question that remains to be answered is if Athens-Clarke County is going to address the potential impact of the ruling on the admission of those under-21 to area bars. Letting younger folks man the doors and serve drinks is just reverting to the status quo from a few years back, but the potential broader impact of letting all folks over the age of 18 into area bars is something that could dramatically alter downtown.

- Quick thoughts from last night's work session on economic development in Oconee County, and I've got some additional notes to sift through. Today promises to be busy with a variety of meetings, but I'm hoping to get around to it.

- I like all of the recommendations except the plastic bag tax, and I'm liable to think that proposal is more of a brainstorming effort to encourage recycling that an actually policy that will get implemented.

- Watch your basements.
