- A handy guide to yesterday's Chi Phi links. I've got some additional stuff I'm working on for today as well.
- Sweet.
- Random NBA news, but Ben Gordon going to Detroit kills Chicago. Granted, Justin Rose has the potential to emerge as a star, but Gordon was the one who killed Boston in this year's playoffs. If the Pistons are able to keep one of their veterans - say Rasheed Wallace - then, they've got a shot to compete in the Eastern Conference. Though, if Ron Artest winds up joining Lebron and Shaq in Cleveland - and Kevin Garnett returns at 100 percent for the Celtics - well, maybe not.
- I was less than impressed by David Poythress's opining for Roy Barnes to drop out of a race he's firmly in control of, and, apparently, so were others.
- OK, on this ... Mark Wallace is a good man, and I say that because it's absolutely the fault of the animal control officers in this case. Yes, the law is vauge, and yes, it needs to be fixed, but Wallace directly interacted with these officers. They knew that it was his cat and not a feral one. Yet, they dropped it off with no explanation, made no effort to contact the owner they had just spoken with and then killed it. That's lunacy! Granted, I would have gone to pick up my cat the day of - actually, I would never own a cat since they absolutely creep me out in a Stephen King/Pet Cemetary-kind of way, but whatever - but it's hard to blame Wallace for thinking that he could go the following day to pick up his pet.
- If anyone's interested, Blog For Democracy's got a poll up about the Atlanta mayoral race.
- The strength of Ford's brand helped deliver this.
- This is a terrible idea. Mother of Mary. There is no way I'd ever - ever - let me or anyone I love get on one of those things.
